BLUETEC metal halide bulbs. The graphs below depict the spectral distribution measurements taken at the beginning and end of a bulb’s life.

- The first graph is an example of an ideal bulb.
- The spectral distribution is stable and bulb
- output dropped only minimally.

- No name brand bulb
- The second bulb did not age as well. The change
- in spectral and energy output can cause many
- hard to pinpoint problems, such as inconstant
- exposure results.
