Actinic output
As part of our efforts to deliver the highest quality bulbs, we carefully monitor output characteristics of our high performance BLUETEC metal halide bulbs. The graphs below depict the spectral distribution measurements taken at the beginning and end of a bulb’s life.
Bluetec bulb
The first graph is an example of an ideal bulb.
The spectral distribution is stable and bulb
output dropped only minimally.

No name brand bulb
The second bulb did not age as well. The change
in spectral and energy output can cause many
hard to pinpoint problems, such as inconstant
exposure results.

Multi-Spectrum bulbs
These bulbs are well suited for most plate
making and color proofing.
NM 300 500 400 350 450.

Diazo
These bulbs are mostly used for plate making
and contacting.

Photopolymer
These bulbs are well suited for plate making and UV curing applications.

PowerBulb
These bulbs work with specific printing plates.
The graphs to the right show just a few of the
available spectral output curves.

Euro-Spec / Imitations
Don’t get fooled by economical imitations or “Euro-Spec” bulbs. These bulbs not only under perform, they may also damage your exposing equipment. Bluetec bulbs are a wise investment
that improve quality and production.
